Known for its well-kept grounds, the park features pet-friendly trails perfect for dog-friendly hiking and leisurely walks, making it an excellent spot for outdoor enthusiasts and dog owners alike. With a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking, everyone can enjoy the beautiful natural setting, picnic tables, and multiple sports fields.
This park stands out for its family-friendly amenities such as playgrounds, swings, slides, and spacious pavilions—ideal for social gatherings or relaxing with your furry friend. While dogs are allowed throughout the park, visitors should be mindful that there is no designated fenced dog area, especially during busy sports events. My kids have soccer practices and games here. There’s also a baseball field frequently busy with games too. The park is well-kept, clean, and has several pavilions with plenty of picnic tables.
I didn’t observe many dogs and that’s probably due to the fields are often busy with soccer games. Nobody wants to step on dog poop.
Overall, it’s a,very nice park and I highly recommend.
Awesome fields clean nice Pavilions
Great place to either walk or bring your mountain bike. They have trails for both! No paved trails at all.
This park has something for everyone. A very nice playground area for the kids. Several walking trails and Chisago County parks and trails allows camping NULL per night per tent. Many soccer fields baseball fields and walking trails.
A worthwhile experience for children and adults. The location features great docents who explain the link between the home and a famous author. There is a special apple tree bearing an apple variety from Sweden, and live music events on certain Sundays. I think this opportunity to learn about the immigration experience for Swedish Americans allows visitors to develop more empathy towards today’s immigrants from other parts of the globe.
