Holmes Run Stream Valley Park is a natural and spacious park located in Lincolnia, VA. It features a scenic area along a stream valley, offering open green spaces for dogs to enjoy. While specific amenities are not detailed, it provides a pleasant environment for dog walks and outdoor activities.
Such a fun place to discover – I’ve been looking for a spillway ever since moving to this area and then just stumbled upon it! Nice paved path, not too challenging for little ones but you’ll have to carry them (and any small dogs like ours) across the water crossings. New favorite “getaway” in the middle of the suburbs.
Best hidden gem in the area, nice little nature getaway
Nice paved walking, biking, running path that follows Holmes run. Tree lined and somewhat natural looking. Columbia Pike entrance is very small, awkward to enter and has very limited parking.
This is a nice park but only visit in the daylight unless you are into creepy places. Surprised nobody else mentioned that this is where a well known serial killer took the lives of 4 or 5 women in 1976.
This park is so beautiful, and I love the stepping stone bridges that allow you to cross the water (there are about five of them!). The trail is alongside the stream, which has very clean, clear water. There’s a lot of shade because of all the trees and it’s a really pleasant place to take a light walk.
