I came for the first time to walk my dog, and a man told me no dogs were allowed, pointed to a sign, and said that “A black Ford F150 would come” and do something to me and my dog if we continued to walk there…¿ So I put her in the car, enjoyed a walk to myself, and walked her when we got home. She was leashed and I had visible waste trash bags attached to the leash. Most people are intimidated by Pitbulls anyway, so I’m used to it.

A large park with lots of green space and a paved path that goes along the river. There is also a playground, soccer fields, a baseball field, and roller hockey.

Fantastic park and people have always been friendly. A little something for everybody including: many soccer fields, baseball field, play scape for kids, and a really nice walking trail.

Short trail along the Ecorse River. Unfortunately, there is work going on along the river, but it’s all being done to make the park much nicer in the future. There is a large gazebo there that can be rented for parties. It’s a memorial park also. You will see markers and other things people have left in memory of a loved one. Bird watchers would enjoy a day here. There’s plenty of parking, so head on out to the park.

Just recently moved to the area, and luckily this park is only about a mile away. Walking to the park, around both loops, and back to the house is about 3.5 miles. We had a place by our old house where we would go and walk, so I am glad this is such a close and easy walk. The people there, every time we have visited so far, have been nice and stay out of the way. There is a gazebo you can relax under and a park for the kids!
