My husband and I moved to Lincoln over 20 years ago and near the top of the list of reasons to move to Lincoln is the dog park. We were very impressed with the size and the large variety of dogs for ours to play with. Most of the dogs/owners that we encounter at the park are good citizens. Our dogs love the creek and the large amount of space to run. We love the walk paths and the overall culture. The park is handicapped friendly and there are plenty of places to sit. It is highly encouraged to have good control over your dog and there is a city ordinance on picking up dog waste. There is a nonprofit group that works on improvements to all the Lincoln dog parks and they have had a good impact on the amenities. Here is a pic of our dog getting brushed on one of the park benches near the entrance.

Lots of room to roam. Can be muddy and wet if you venture off the path. Water and woods are available if you choose. In the summer use bug spray to ward off ticks and chiggers. They keep a path cleared for ample walking in the Summer months.

Great dog park!!! Lots of area to roam, multiple trails and paths. A creek for dogs to cool down runs through the middle. Trails through the woods, and wide open spaces, really a little bit for everyone. Has a small obstacle course for the dogs, and plenty of benches to stop and rest. Highly recommend!

Really great park. I like how unkept it is. Makes me, and I’m sure my dog, feel like we’re not in the middle of a city. Generally there are many other friendly dogs.

This place is absolutely gorgeous! It has two sides, one for small dogs and another for big dogs. Personally we went to the big dog’s side and it has a lot of space for our fluff buddies to run around, surrounded by nature, and it also has a creek! Definitely recommend!
