Kids had a blast at the playground by the school and the trail looked fun. Only negative is the lack of public bathrooms.

Walked the whole trail round trip from Waddell to Jordan Point 5+ miles. I would turn around at the VMI property line, after that it is not in the woods or near the creek.

A nice park with a playground, field and the Woods Creek Trail next to it. It’s open to the public outside of school hours because it’s right by a school. There are swings, plenty to climb on, and a pavilion with tables. My 2-year-old had a great time playing here and we set up nine square in the air on the field.

This was where I attended elementary school and majorette practice years ago. We bought chicken dinners at Kenney’s and wanted a picnic area to enjoy them. The park was beautiful, well kept and a perfect setting for us to enjoy our meal.

Woods Creek is an amazing community resource. I beautiful trail along the outskirts of downtown, whiling running through the middle of town all the way to Jordans Point. Use it!
