Trails End Pet Sitting - Lexington Park, MD

My interaction in email was detached and cold. My Uncle passed away that required abrupt out of state travel. I asked if they had availability and they informed me Glenn Forest was not in their area despite their website showing our zip code is a full service area. If they had told me they were fully booked for the holiday I would of understood. But that email chain was completely detached I have a long time history in service and hospitality industries you would think someone in this business would have empathy and help guide them to another option in extenuating circumstances.

Trails End is a GREAT local pet sitting company. They do home visits at a fair price, which has been a big help for me as I travel a lot for work. They take pictures and do a cute little write-up describing each visit, which makes me feel comfortable that my little guy is getting good care while I’m gone.Customer service is amazing. You typically have to book 2 days in advance, but I recently had a serious medical emergency and Trails End allowed me to schedule at the last minute while I was in the hospital. I was very thankful to be able to focus on my health and not worry about my dog in the meantime.I can’t say enough good things about this company. They are great with animals, are fairly priced, do home visits, and have great communication and customer service. Do not hesitate to try them out!

I can’t say enough incredible things about Aimee and Steve! We are a military family that moves constantly so it can be hard to find people you trust with your “babies”. We have a 5 month old lab puppy that is still figuring out the world. She is a little timid at first but I loved how understanding both Aimee and Steve are. Daisy has done doggy daycare and they were AMAZING about making sure the class wasn’t too big and the right dogs were matched together. They planned ahead knowing Daisy was coming and had a calm dog paired to slowly integrate her into the pack. Daisy is currently in training and both Aimee and Steve were interested and willing to continue her training while under their supervision! Steve has a very calming approach with the dogs and Daisy really took to him. Aimee has so much patience with not only the dogs but also me! She was willing to answer all of my questions, concerns and never made me feel uneasy. You can tell how much they BOTH love the pets they care for. After having several successful doggy daycare days we opted to board her with them. We received updates and pictures of her “sleepover” with her friends! I knew Daisy was in great hands. They even did an adorable paw print picture that I will cherish forever! I jokingly say that we are now co-parenting together because that’s how amazing they have been with her. I selfishly want to keep them to myself but I also know they deserve all the praise in the world! I don’t consider them a “boarding facility”, more like a 2nd home.

I want to share my incredible experience with Trails End Pet Sitting, LLC. I don’t often post recommendations, but I am truly compelled to share how delighted I am with the care they provided for our Guinea pigs, hermit crab, and puppy, Meadow. I stumbled upon them on Google, did my research, and read their reviews on Facebook. I was impressed with what I saw and decided to have them do home visits for the small animals and board Meadow at their Southern St. Mary’s location.Being a total helicopter mom, I was initially nervous. But the moment I met Aimee, I knew it would be a great fit. She came to our home, asked questions, and got to know our pets’ schedules. Aimee’s professionalism and knowledge were evident from the start.When I dropped Meadow off at their boarding facility, I was immediately put at ease. The dog play area was secure, shaded, and well-ventilated to keep the pups comfortable. The grass and turf were well-maintained, demonstrating their dedication to safety and cleanliness. Aimee greeted us warmly and assured us that everything was under control. She even discussed emergency plans for Meadow.Aimee’s commitment to our pets’ well-being continued throughout Meadow’s stay. She was more than willing to take Meadow out for potty breaks whenever needed, even during the night. I received updates from Aimee daily, complete with pictures, videos, and detailed accounts of Meadow’s day. Blake, her employee, handled home visits for our small animals and sent us daily pictures and humorous updates that had us laughing each evening.I cannot speak highly enough of Trails End Pet Sitting. Their level of professionalism and care is exceptional. Aimee and her team genuinely care about all animals, big and small. I am incredibly grateful to have found them and will always turn to Trails End for pet sitting needs. The peace of mind they provided while caring for all my fur babies was priceless. I would give them 11 out of 10 star ratings!

We are new to the area and I was so nervous leaving our pups while traveling for Christmas. Alexis was our sitter and she was so helpful, communicative, good with the pups. We came back home and they were incredibly well taken care of. For someone who gets a lot of anxiety about leaving our pups, this service was incredible and so worth it. They were incredibly flexible, allowed us to pick multiple visits and options for the days we were gone. Just incredible and could not recommend more
