Jarboesville Park in Lexington Park, Maryland, is a quiet, pet-friendly destination ideal for dog owners seeking a low-key space to play fetch and enjoy the outdoors. Conveniently located behind Lex Park Elementary, this park is well known for its open areas and welcoming attitude toward dogs. The park is wheelchair accessible and suitable for families, making it an accessible option for everyone in the community.
The park features tennis courts (although not regulation size), a basketball court, and a baseball field, offering a variety of spaces for recreational activities. While it doesn’t have a dedicated playground or traditional dog park amenities like fenced runs, its open design makes it a good spot for responsible owners to let their dogs play, especially when the park is not crowded. This hidden spot is best for those looking for a laid-back, spacious, and dog-friendly park in Lexington Park, MD.
Quiet, well kept park. Shhh, don’t tell anyone….
Needs work. It feels like a vulnerable place, needs to be cleaned and up-kept and glass swept
Just has tennis courts place for basketball and baseball no swings or anything for kids
It’s behind Lex Park Elementary. There’s no playground there for kids, but there are tennis and basketball courts (just one basketball). One baseball field. No bathrooms, but there is a porta potty.
It is a good place to play fetch with your dog, as long as no one else is there
These are not real tennis courts. These courts must have been made by someone who couldn’t be bothered to google the dimensions of a tennis court. They are absolutely not tennis courts and I honestly have no idea what they are. They aren’t pickleball courts, those are separate. They are the weirdest courts I’ve ever seen and not at all for tennis. The George B. Cecil park has amazing tennis courts and is nearby. I recommend going there if you’re looking for tennis courts and not to waste your time here, like I did.
