Wow. If I lived here this would be a weekly visit. So much to offer. Only set back. The children’s playground is nice the reason we came but almost turned around too soon. but must drive all the way back long lane. Not near the other sports and secluded. I arrived with my 2 grandsons, no one else there except three teens at the pavilion who had JusT arrived too. Im 60 ,white hair 2 young boys. They put their music up very loud was cussing a storm. We almost left, but we had driven out of our way to find this park on our trip. Another car came and Another teen got out. FewA few minutes later they all left after their exchange. So glad we stayed. It Peaceful beautiful. And boys loved the playground. Very well done. With bathrooms right there. But will admit inside I was a little scared just didn’twant boys to be. . If it wasn’t so secluded for little ones and mom’s. . There were lots of people at the courts but you got to drive there.
We had a church picnic and it was so beautiful being at Shillito Park. I love trees and being out in nature. It was a wonderful experience.
My daughter loves coming here! Variety of play equipment that looks well maintained. It has a large seat swing with a harness type restraint for small kids or large kids with disabilities. Part is covered in a hard but mushy rubber type of material, the rest is wood chips or grass. Large walking area. There is also a pool nearby. The only thing was it seems like it takes a bit to get to the play area. There is a paved trail but you may have difficulty pushing a wheelchair up to the play area. Oh, there are decent restrooms and a large pavilion/covered picnic tables.
Nice large park with walking/running path. First time visiting this park, and it’s quite beautiful. Cicada season!🙃😂 Large playground, swimming pool, softball, baseball, soccer, tennis. Plenty of shelters that can be reserved, and space to spread out. 😀 Great park! 👌🏾
Great park! My kids absolutely love it here. There are so many cool things for them to do, including two different playgrounds—one for younger kids and one for older ones. They have musical toys, a cool wooden house for the kids to explore, and even a fountain. Highly recommended! There’s also plenty of parking available, which is a big plus. There also is a water fountain for drinking or for filling up water bottles.
