Great place to walk or run laps. Paved trail around outside, plenty of grassy areas to play in the middle, and neat wooded “trails” mowed through areas where the local wildlife is allowed to grow up some. Playground for kiddos, exercise equipment along the outer walking trail, pickleball courts, skatepark (lots of boxes, jersey barriers, and rails but no ramps), grass and sand volleyball courts, couple baseball diamonds with full fencing, plenty of benches and tables, beautiful trees and local flora. Lots of free parking. Generally great park!
It’s a very nice playground it’s not huge but the park overall is very nice great walking trail. We found a really cool hollowed out tree that my son just wanted to have his picture taken in lol!
Love how big the playground is. Even the walking trails have exercise machines throughout. The upsetting thing is that there are port potties.. and parents that don’t educate their children on how not to throw mulch on other kids and adults. Also , letting them hit other kids.
Kirklevington Park is a nice neighborhood park located on Redding Road. Though probably not a bird-lovers’ paradise, the park has great facilities including two softball fields, tennis courts, pickleball, volleyball courts, disc golf and more. They have a nice playground and a few picnic areas and a long paved walking path. If you are looking for a nice park alternative for the family, you may like this park.
Kirklevington Park has quickly become my favorite spot in Lexington, especially for volleyball lovers like me! The sand volleyball court is well-maintained, spacious, and perfect for a casual game or a competitive match. Whether you’re playing with friends or joining in with friendly locals, it’s a great place to get active and enjoy the outdoors.
Beyond volleyball, the park has so much to offer. The open green spaces are ideal for picnics or tossing a frisbee, and the walking trails are peaceful and shaded—great for a relaxing stroll or light jog. Families will love the playground, which is clean and safe, and there’s plenty of room for kids to run around. The park also has basketball courts and a baseball field, making it a true hub for all kinds of sports and recreation.
It’s always clean, feels safe, and there’s usually plenty of parking. If you’re looking for a park that offers great volleyball and so much more, Kirklevington Park is the place to be!
