Located in the heart of downtown Lexington, Gratz Park offers a beautiful blend of history, well-maintained green spaces, and a welcoming atmosphere for both people and their pets. Known for its picturesque surroundings and vibrant neighborhood, this park is an ideal place for pet-friendly walks, enjoying the historic architecture, or simply relaxing amid blooming tulips during springtime.
Gratz Park is not officially a dedicated dog park but is dog-friendly, making it a great option for those looking for an accessible and scenic dog park in Lexington, Kentucky. The park is wheelchair accessible and also good for families with children. With annual events like Mayfest featuring food trucks, music, and art vendors, Gratz Park provides more than just a place to walk your dog—it’s a lively community spot to explore Lexington’s local charm.
Fun little walk around area. Too bad center at end of park is politicized. Restored homes are quaint, well done, and situated together in a inviting neighborhood.
Spent this Mother’s Day at Mayfest 2024 with my wife daughter and son inlaw. This has become an annual tradition. I always look forward to the musical performances scheduled for the patrons. Additionally, there are food trucks and beverage options, too. We love looking at all the art vendors and the various offerings. We’ll definitely be back next year.
Very relaxing time. Nice quiet park
Such a beautiful historic area, it’s a great place to take a walk and take in the fresh air and scenery. If you are visiting Lexington, this is a great place to enjoy with the family.
One of my favorite spots in Lexington! Especially in the spring when the tulips are in bloom in front of the pink and blue houses.
