Nice place to go for the kids to play. Also, this is one of the only parks in Lexington that has summer events on a regular basis.
Very great place to chillax and make jewelry.
Huge park off Georgetown st. Recently celebrated it’s centennial. A plethora of sporting activities and courts. A pool and splash pad. The best basketball courts in town, and plenty of them. Fabulous play area for children. Also O’Rear community center. A stupendous park, a sure favorite!
There is not enough parking for huge events there like the one on June 7th 2025 , they take up all the neighborhood parking on the surrounding residential streets, that the residents , and home owners can’t park there own vehicles , especially on a cul-de-sac where parking is limited anyway. The park is fun and family and dog friendly, my family has a lot of fun when we go there all the time , and the snack shack is also very wonderful.
We came here on June 29th to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and we set up at 2 picnic tables in a shaded area. They don’t have shelters to rent off here. So we had our spot picked out and had our stuff already sat out. Then came this lady in a truck yelling and cussing at me saying we needed to move and we had to pay for the area where there is only picnic tables. Then started setting up their stuff where we were having our daughter’s 9th birthday party. It was very disrespectful and rude kicking us out of a spot when someone is already there and lying and saying you paid for that spot when they have no outdoor shelters to rent.
