If you’re looking for a dog park in Lewis Center, Ohio offering beautiful natural scenery and pet-friendly trails, Highbanks Metro Park Multi-Use Trail is a top choice. This well-maintained park features wide hiking paths perfect for leashed dogs and their owners, with accessibility for wheelchairs and convenient parking. The trails are noted for their relaxing atmosphere, gorgeous river views, and gentle terrain, providing an enjoyable experience for dogs and people alike.
Pet owners will appreciate the park’s dedication to families, as children and kids are welcome and there are rentable shelters for gatherings. While the trail system accommodates both paved and unpaved routes, please note that dog-friendly trails are generally paved, which is great for easy strolls but may be less ideal for dogs who prefer softer ground. With play areas for kids and picturesque pathways, it’s a perfect spot for a day out with your furry friend.
Great for light hiking!
This place is beautiful and relaxing. Love walking the trails.
Trails are wide & easy to enjoy. Trail crosses roads, but otherwise is interesting.
Metro park system really limits dog use trails, they are always paved and that is hard on my dog for running, I went here one winter and the only unpaved trail for dogs was closed for cross country skiing and there wasn’t even snow….
I really enjoy this park! The walking trail is really nice & they allow pets on a leash while on the trail. Gorgeous river view depending on which part of the trail you’re walking. Shelters are available to rent for parties, there are hiking trails, and play areas for kids.
