The Free Levelland City Campground is a welcoming spot for travelers and locals looking for a pet-friendly outdoor experience in Levelland, Texas. This large park offers open fields, plenty of shade from mature trees, and scenic walking trails that are perfect for dog-friendly walks. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful sunsets, and friendly community vibe. While the campground itself is known for free RV sites (with water and electricity), it doubles as a relaxing place to walk your pup on-leash, stretch your legs, or enjoy a picnic under the shade.
Amenities include numerous picnic tables and benches, play equipment for children, paved walking paths, basketball and tennis courts, and a pavilion ideal for group gatherings. Dog owners love the spacious fields for on-leash play and the shaded areas to escape the Texas sun. The park is regularly maintained by city staff, making it a clean and safe locale for both locals and road trippers. With nearby access to Levelland’s local shops and bakeries, it’s a convenient stop for families and pet lovers alike.
Thank you City of Levelland for this very nice park. The folks of Levelland are so friendly and gracious. Both days I was here I had a kolache for breakfast at Rise and Shine Donuts. Lexi’s Bakery is awesome, went there three times (twice on one day). Was able to get some errands done and rest up before getting back on the road. Will definitely stay here again.
Clean and FREE. Electricity and water at each site. Convenient dump station on site, which I didn’t use. Pretty sunset.
Have stayed a few times. This last time I stayed the 3 day limit. Absolutely wonderful. Clean, friendly town, and free with electricity and water at each campsite. Would definitely come back again.
3 day stay limit.
Donations welcome / encouraged.
Road noise was noticeable at times.
Occasional airplane take off or landing, but infrequent.
Flies, many, many of them.
Automated in ground water sprinklers present. Be aware if you tent camp.
Dailey checks by the city, a couple visits by the local sheriff, but was just passing thru, checking the area, didn’t stop.
Natural gas smell was sometimes present.
Any size rv will fit.
Very nice free campsite with water and electricity (50 & 30 amps). There were some broken glass on site 7. Close to rhe water faucet. Very quiet. There is a small airport next to it, so the kids had fun watching planes go and come. The small town has all what you need in case you want to get some to go food, pharmacy, etc. Definitely recommended! Beautiful sunsets here
