T.H. Broyhill Walking Park is a top-rated dog park in Lenoir, NC, offering beautifully maintained grounds, paved walking trails, and pet-friendly spaces for both people and their pups. Conveniently located near downtown Lenoir, this park stands out for its peaceful atmosphere, scenic waterfall, flat paved greenways, and variety of amenities for dogs and families alike. Visitors can enjoy clean restrooms, lovely landscaping, and a variety of wildlife, including ducks and geese.
The park features a dedicated, fenced dog area with separate spaces for small and large dogs, both boasting agility equipment, benches, and drinking fountains for pups. While the small dog side currently lacks mature shade, newly planted trees promise future relief from sunny days. Dog owners must register their pets (membership required), and the area is praised for its safety, maintenance, and overall friendly atmosphere. Families will also find playgrounds, sports fields, and restroom facilities nearby, making it a great choice for a day out with both kids and pets.
Absolutely Beautiful and quiet park. It was our first time visiting and plan to return next time we are in the area.
I love this park. This is a great place to walk, it’s flat the whole way around unless you take one of the two side paths. The bathrooms are at at the halfway point and you’re allowed to bring your dog. The ducks are fun to watch, and the architecture is beautiful. I always enjoy myself no matter what season it is.

Convenient and great place to go.
So much better than what it use to look like back in the 1980’s
The only two things is, one several people have told me they wished the walking area was a larger oval shape and of course the pond bigger. Also a few years ago I personally have seen 👀 several snakes 🐍 on the left side of the walking park 🏞️

It was absolutely the best walk but one thing I didn’t like is that it was just 1 mile and a half after walking 3 times around. But it was still such a beautiful walk. Yes there is dog walking, they have rules for that on the right side as you walk in. I believe there is also a place for young kids to play too. As you walk around there is a place off to the right.

This park is AWESOME and convenient to downtown Lenoir, with a small waterfall! Beautiful flora, well maintained paths, bathroom, pagodas, geese, ducks, etc. It is a very visible, safe, and dog friendly atmosphere. I didn’t have time to explore all the trails, but the ones today were all flat, so an easy stroll!
