Berry Street Park is a well-loved dog park nestled in Lemon Grove, California, offering a friendly and inviting atmosphere for both dogs and their owners. The park features two off-leash, sectioned and fenced dog areas—one for small dogs and one for large dogs—designed to help ensure safe play for pups of all sizes. The grounds are primarily covered with shredded mulch, keeping dust minimal and paws comfortable, and the entire park is maintained regularly for cleanliness and safety. There’s also a nicely paved sidewalk around the main park, perfect for leisurely strolls with leashed dogs or for those who want to enjoy pet-friendly trails.
Unique to Berry Street Park are its thoughtful amenities: benches and limited seating are available, and dog owners appreciate the availability of poop bags and trash bins placed throughout. A water fountain for dogs is conveniently located by the basketball court, though you may want to bring your own bowl just in case. While shade is spotty due to minimal tree cover and only a semi shade structure, the park boasts lovely scenic areas, an adjacent playground for kids, restrooms, and hiking trails for those seeking a bit more adventure. Parking is free and there are both a small lot and street parking options available. With its welcoming local community, regular maintenance, and special touches like a neighborhood library box, Berry Street Park stands out as a premier dog-friendly park in San Diego County.
Nicely paved sidewalk around the whole park. Your dog can walk on the grass next to you around most of the park. Also there are 2 off-leash fenced areas; one for large dogs and one for smaller dogs. Everything is nicely maintained.
Took my grandsons there during the week. Easy to access, people were kind and the dog walkers cleaned up after their pets.
Good for a walk and spend time with family, nice playground for kids (needs an update).
Great and fun park! Lots of space behind the playgrounds offering a little escape route under the shade of the trees, perfect for a pic nic. There are restrooms, even a “neighborhood library book box” made by the Girls Scout at the entrance of the park. There is also a nice fenced dog park. 👍
Great place for kids of different ages, it has two different play ares for younger and older crowd. There’s a couple gazebo ‘s for parties and a great gated dog park. Lots of trees and sitting areas. The only down side is that the play structure is not shaded. Bring lots of sun screen!
