The beach was so beautiful and worth the drive. We found some Leland Blues and many other kinds of unique and really cool rocks. Rock hunting in Northern Michigan is truly an amazing way to spend an afternoon.

Day was perfect, not too many beach go-ers. Brought my dog. Leland Blues found as well.

We accessed this beautiful beach from the public access at the end of Reynolds st. Went there with my little family to browse the rocks and let my toddler son dig in the sand. We were very respectful of the rules posted (staying within the 60 ft and walking along the shoreline). A lot of people come here to rock collect and look for Leland Blue. There is some erosion like many other lake Michigan beaches, and a nearby property owner blamed a hole in the erosion on my son with a tiny shovel. The hole was already there, yet she asked if we could try fixing the erosion issue, proceeded to complain about the tourists littering, that the property owner didn’t want the public access beach there, etc. We did not feel welcome, even though we were just trying to enjoy a small beach to celebrate my birthday and were respectful of property lines. I plan to email the township about how the neighboring residents are treating tourists using this public access beach and I will pass along her concerns since she is complaining to tourists about her complaints.

Beautiful beach with tons of rocks and slag to search for. This entrance to the lake has the most parking in the three beach accesses in Leland.
