North Street Beach is a scenic gem for dog owners looking for a dog-friendly park in Leland. Nestled near the beautiful waters of Lake Michigan, this beach is known for its tranquil atmosphere, rock-hunting opportunities, and a pet-friendly environment. While the public beach is on the smaller side and parking is very limited—only space for two cars—the expansive shoreline provides plenty of room for both two- and four-legged visitors to explore and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
The beach is especially popular for rock-hounding, with visitors finding a variety of local stones like Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Leland Blue. The walk to the water is scenic, offering a relaxing, picturesque outing for both dog owners and their pets. While the area is dog-friendly and families are welcome, please note that amenities such as fenced dog runs, water fountains, or waste stations are not mentioned, and parking can be a challenge to find.
