Dogwood Park is a top destination for local dog owners in Lee’s Summit, MO, offering expansive, well-maintained pet-friendly trails and off-leash fun. Located at 107-109 NW Victoria Dr, this dog park features a .3 mile walking path where you can keep an eye on your pets as they run and play. Dogwood Park is fully fenced and designed for safety with a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking, making it welcoming for all visitors.
What sets Dogwood Park apart is its dedicated off-leash area, available water and agility features, and the park’s commitment to cleanliness and maintenance. Water bowls are magically kept full—even during winter—so your pup stays hydrated, while public restrooms serve as a convenience for owners. The park is noted for its friendly community vibe and scenic paths perfect for dog-friendly hiking in the heart of Lee’s Summit.
It’s a nice dog park, well maintained paths. The long stretches get pretty hot in the afternoon during the summer, so the better time to go is in the early to mid evening.
The problem here is that there seems to be a lot of people that bring in untagged and uncut dogs into the park, which is against the rules for good reason. Almost every time I’ve been here, I’ll see at least one fully intact male wandering the large dog park (this increases the chance of aggression and fights, which no one wants).
My babies love this park! It’s an off leash park they can run free and live their best lives!
I drive from Independence to bring my dogs here. Way better than any other dog park in the city! Highly recommend this place. Plus there are magical water ferries that keep the water bowls full even during the winter when the water is shut off.
Very nice dog park. Unfortunately, it was a very hot day, and there weren’t any other dogs there. But, my dog enjoyed going around the park and smelling all the funky smells left behind by his canine cousins.
Tried this off leash dog park for the first time yesterday. It has a .3 mile walking path that you can walk while always being able to keep an eye on your dog. The water and agility features are also wonderful. Both dogs and humans enjoy this park!
