I’m visiting Vermont from out of town and needed a place to do a 17 mile run. I was so happy to find this place. Parking was right there next to the trail sign. I ran on a Friday morning and mostly had the trail to myself. I loved the dressed up scarecrows along the way. I ran by two beautiful lakes. The trail was very clean and was mostly a combination of paved and gravel/small rocks. I luckily stumbled upon a coffee shop for a bathroom break about 6.5 miles in (there were no porta potties). I felt very safe running on this trail alone. Highly recommend for running, walking, or biking. If you’re hungry afterwards, I recommend the Salt Hill Pub which is walking distance from the parking lot.

Rode it halfway as an out and back as I had to move on. Great trail! Well maintained but not really appropriate for road bikes. The scarecrows along the route were a plus!

First, I would give 5 stars for trail maintenance! However, the trails are very confusing and it’s like a hamster maze! Thank goodness for cell service so I could utilize MAPS. For someone who has never accessed Boston Lot from the trails on Old Pine Tree Cemetery Rd, I would suggest taking a picture of the map. It would be helpful to have signs to help people get back to the parking area. Seems like you would need a lot of time on these trails to get the lay of the land.

The UVMBA does an excellent job maintaining these trails. I went on foot for a light hike & bird watching. Spotted a large turtle, birds, geese, etc. Bikers we encountered were courteous on the trail as we stepped aside to allow them to pass. Such a nice local spot for a nature walk!

Took the fat bikes here to access the Boston Lot trails. Good place to park with plenty of room and even had a porta potty, so the girls will be happy, though not the cleanest from what I was told. Enjoy!

Easy access to the Boston Lot trail network which is beautifully maintained by the Upper Valley Mtn Bike Club. Lots of trails for non motorized activity. You may want to leave a trail of popcorn because it’s easy (for me) to get lost.
