Lots of land and amenities. Nice community of regulars. It would be nice if both large dog areas were open at the same time since one gets so congested. The dog water fountain is a nice feature but the human water fountains don’t have enough pressure to use.
One of my favorite spots in Leavenworth! Very large park with separate areas for large & small dogs. Well-kept and my dog loves to go.
The grounds are well maintained. The only spigot to fill water jugs is in the Small Dog Area. Which is extremely inconvenient for dog parents in the Large Dog Area. Especially when the far park is used every other year. There is a drinking fountain right at the entrance to both sides. The hard work is already done, why not tap into the water line and put a spigot there??
I love this dog park! My dog is a large breed and is able to play with other large dogs and continue with socialization which is so very important.
If this is what doing time in Leavenworth is like, then sign me up!!! Maybe it’s just this area of the country or something, but the last two dog parks I have been in have both been incredible!! This one also is extremely large and has a lot of old-growth trees in it so it has plenty of shade. There are benches located all around the park in the shade because of all the trees. There are Agility Test located all around the park and even though it makes it a little bit rough on me they didn’t even waste room making a trail for people to walk on! This park is all about the dogs hahaha one really nice thing they did is around all the bases of the benches and right in front of the entry and exit gate, they have put nice gravel. So the dogs don’t dig and it doesn’t get muddy oh, but that is only around the benches and by the front entry exit. It also looks like they have a small dog park and then a secondary large dog park? I guess while they shut one for maintenance they open the other one up. At first I just thought the small dog area was the biggest I’ve ever seen
