The Park is great.
The commissioners never want to do updates, staff is hard to get, changes managers one after another because commissioners don’t want to put the money back into the park.
50 years of camping I’ve seen a lot. Many years of great times. This park would be even better if updated.
A friend who’s been 20+ years couldn’t put up a review on the site. So here it is:

Our family had 8 campsites rented. We were all eating lunch together 40 people and I got a phone call saying that it was unacceptable to have the many people on 2 sites that I needed to either rent a pavilion or tell people to leave. Needless to say we all stayed for lunch. A few weeks prior a county commissioner had 38 ppl one 1 site for his birthday and not one word was ever said to him. Isn’t it strange how that works. We have been coming here for 20 plus years and absolutely love the park.

The camp ground is great. Feels huge the way it is set up. The beach area is clean but small also just prefect. They have a mini golf and kayak and little boats to use for a price. They have a little shop to buy things from like ice cream and shirt and etc. All sites have water and electricity unless you ask for none. The few things I would say that I didn’t like is the dock to fish off should be longer and that they need to put signs or something from the health department and other things. Have signs saying certain things like can’t wash dishes or dump gray water even if it is from washing dishes. But also the shower heads should be different. The bathrooms are clean and they have three in the camp ground.

It’s a nice park if you have a boat to take out. I found it a bit boring. The playground slides had a big drop off. And the bathroom smelled like wet dog. It was very peaceful and quiet though.

Quaint, beautiful, friendly park! We decided to take a road trip and find a new swimming hole…..well, we want to camp here soon. It was such a nice day. Cannot wait to visit again soon.

This is a very nice place to come and camp. The facilities are very well kept. The place is on the lake with a boat launch and parking for your truck and trailer. There is a mini golf course in the park and a softball field. There are playgrounds for the kids. There are bathrooms and shower facilities throughout the park. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I can’t wait to go back. It was very peaceful and relaxing there.
