Cool park in the middle of Laurens city, it needs some serious improvements and maybe they need to work in the little river as well do some major cleaning, this park has a lot of potential but they need to invest heavily.
It’s unfortunate, the park is a really great asset to the community. It is time for a update. Every holiday season they put up Christmas lights for our community to enjoy. My children and I took a walk through the Little River walking path last night to enjoy the Christmas lights. We discovered several of the displays had been knocked down, not plugged in, or simply starting to show their age. I believe has a Lawrence City resident, it is time for reinvestment in our community. This isn’t meant to be a political piece, however the park is starting to show its age, the lighting displays are in need of updates and repair, and the walking path needs to have updates to the concrete and drainage systems. For what it is, it is a great asset. For what it could be, additional taxable dollars and opportunities to grow our community.
Lots of glass outside play area and hardly no mulch in play area. Kids were tripping over the weed bearer bc the lack of mulch. Several swings were broken. Some trash laying around. Putt putt area needs work as well. Guessing our tax money doesn’t do much for kids!!
Lots of shade and a fair amount of equipment for the kids to play on. I also saw a mini golf course. However, it looks like you need to bring your own things to use it and I did not see any restrooms. However, it was still a very nice Park
Great place for my toddler to run around and play. Very secluded and quiet. There was a good bit of trash laying around like plastic bottles.
