My little one enjoyed the water eventhough she was the smallest one there, it is not that big but it is nice to know that there is a place I could take my little one in those hot days. The views are beautiful.

The year-round dog beach is an absolute paradise for canine companions! With its open access for dogs to run and swim from 8 am to 12 noon, it’s a haven of joy for both pets and their owners. I’ve found that going early ensures snagging a parking spot, allowing us to make the most of our beach adventure. It’s a fantastic way to let your furry friend enjoy the sand, surf, and sun, making unforgettable memories together.

Was looking for a dog beach in NY and this place came up. My pup loved it! Came during memorial day. All other pups and their hoomans were nice. Will be back! As many other reviews have stated: “go during low tide” or you’ll probably think the beach is 30 feet by 10 feet like some other reviews on here have written 🤭. And yes parking might be a little annoying but it’s worth the added steps if you already came out wanting your pup to have a good time!

Such a beautiful park. It is a bit hilly, but it has incredible views of the Long Island Sound. The dog and I love coming down here and taking a leisurely walk. You can usually encounter at least two other dogs on any given occasion. 😁 Check the tides before you go because you lose half access to the beach at high tide!

A little less than ideal. There is no parking there so you have to find some other street parking and almost all of it is designated no parking. When you do find a legal parking spot you still get a ticket (this happened to me). Also, you can’t close the gate so it’s not that secure for the dogs. Very small beach but that’s ok. Opal swam on her own for the first time during high tide.
