Lovely park with so much to do.
Pretty plain and simple. Good parking, access to the river, access to the bike path. Overall clean and well taken care of.
Lions Open Space is one of our favorite spots to walk and bike. It’s usually quiet, and the views heading in are beautiful. We love having this place right in our backyard! If you haven’t been, it’s worth a visit.
Lions Open Space was very nice. My wife and I wanted to take the dogs for a walk somewhere close to home since it was a warmer day. Parking was easy and the lot was maintained well. We started off by heading towards the school and disc golf area, traveling by the dirt trail next to the river. This allowed for more shade for the dogs, the occasional stop for a drink from the river and to stay off the paved trail to avoid bikes. Once we hit the disc golf area, we turned around and headed back towards the bridge. The river was very tranquil and the scenery was amazing. We made it about 3/4 of the way across the bridge and the oldest dog was getting tired along with the puppy so we headed back to the truck to go home. Overall, Lions Open Space was perfect for a short walk. As mentioned in some reviews, it’s sad that some dog owners will either not clean up after their dogs or just carelessly leave poop bags along the trail. We’ll definitely return though.
