Lansing Center Trail is a popular spot for dog owners seeking scenic, pet-friendly trails in Lansing, New York. This network of easy, flat walking paths winds through meadows bursting with wildflowers in summer and offers excellent bird and butterfly watching opportunities. It’s a well-kept, quiet space ideal for walking your dog, jogging, or simply enjoying nature. This is a nice network of trails except when it is wet. Poor drainage is throughout the park and the trails are very unusable from November to May except when solidly frozen. It’s mid April in sunny weather but there was not even one trail segment without at least mud mosh pit.

Would be 5 stars but 1 in 5 people on this trail are snotty or rude. The other 4 will let your dogs meet and wave hello! Great dog walking spot, always ample parking, and enough short trail routes that you can pick a loop that will take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. If you hiked every inch of the trail here however you wouldn’t be hiking for much longer than that hour. Maybe 2. Don’t forget to carry out trash ands dog poop. Waste cans in the parking lot but not on the trail
