I love this little forgotten about park! It’s a great back entrance to Hawlk island, the river trail, and the dog park. This park has playground equipment, basketball courts and a gazebo! Limited parking but a great place to be!
Scott woods is a great place to walk, bike and be outside. I bring my kids here and we wander around, climb trees, enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and have a good time. It’s quiet and beautiful and you can see deer and geese and ducks. Because it’s part of the river trail you can get a nice long walk in without getting your feet wet and muddy if you want, or you can go off the trail and explore. We love it here.
Scenic park with paved and unpaved hiking/walking trail. Dog friendly. Free parking and connects to hawk island park. Great spot. Hidden gem in south Lansing. Lots of wildlife.
Scott Woods Park is a wooded area between the Sunnyside neighborhood and Hawk Island County Park. The park includes access to the Soldan Dog Park, a recreation trail, and a disc golf course. The park follows along the Sycamore Creek. Enjoy!
I love walking in this park. There are trails everywhere with lots of wildlife and plants. You
don’t have to walk or bike ride just one area. We took the Sycamore Creek River trail. It dumps out at Mt Hope Cemetery.
