The poisonous cottonmouth water moccasins that smell like cucumbers chased my uncle and his dog in a kayak across the lake. I’m pretty sure they memorized his license plate as well, as the next day a band of them showed up at his front door. Stay away!!

Took my 5 kids here to fish and they had fun. We only caught one little catfish but they still had fun being there. We saw Lotts of turtles and even saw a water snake. It wasn’t too crowded, and the people that were there were minding their own businesses. I like that there is a covered area with picnic tables my kids could sit at when they got tired. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful day fishing. Oh and the air field is right there and we got to watch a water plane take off !
