Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Forsberg Off-Leash Dog Park is a spacious and scenic dog park located in Lakewood, Colorado, offering incredible views and plenty of room for dogs to play and explore. The park is known for its grassy terrain, gentle hills, and well-maintained hiking trails, making it a favorite among local dog owners seeking pet-friendly trails and dog-friendly hiking experiences. There are two large off-leash areas, one equipped with an agility zone and another grassy section to accommodate dogs of all energy levels.
This Lakewood dog park provides several amenities, including picnic tables under a pavilion for shade, a public restroom, and ample parking. While water is available just outside the fenced areas, visitors are advised to bring their own water for their dogs, as the water fountain may not always be operational. With picnic spots, wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, and a kid-friendly environment, Forsberg Off-Leash Dog Park is an excellent destination for families and dog lovers alike.
This is our go-to dog park as it’s super spacious and offers nice views. I appreciate the terrain as others near us have too much gravel which is tough on my dog’s joints. We love going during off times and basically having the place to ourself. For the most part, people tend to keep an eye on their pets and clean up after them.
The park features a nice set of trails and a pavilion for picnics. There are two off leash areas, one with a dog playground at the bottom of the hill and the other with some grass. I’d give this place five stars, except the water fountain doesn’t work. Make sure to bring water for yourself and your canine companions. Hydrate!
Very large space for dogs to run and play. There are two sides, so not everyone has to be in the same area. There is even a little agility area. Water is just outside the play area. A bit dusty but fun for all. Plenty of places for humans to sit too
My only complaint is that the water fountain to refill your dog’s personal water containers (which you definitely need to bring) is just outside the dog park area, instead of in the fenced area where it should be in my opinion.
I was in the area with my dogs and decided to take a peek. There are a few steep hills that’ll definitely get your heart pumping. Well kept restrooms and plenty of parking. My boys really appreciated all the grass. We love this dog park.
