Fun, paddle. If you can find your way you can get to Long pond. Don’t get discouraged it’s like a maze. A lot of waterfowl, Great Blue Herons, Osprey, ducks, red winged blackbirds shifts, and more. May be difficult in summer if water is low and the “brush islands”grow.

Small, quaint park off the side of the road. Great for a lunch break or to take the dog.
Pulling into the parking lot you can see the giant reservoir for Taunton’s drinking water. When I was there were about three different species of geese hanging out near the mouth of the lake.
The place was covered in snow and there wasn’t any work to be seen to clear it but that was all well and good as it made the park look very pristine and untouched. There were signs of some dog walkers and small game, but nothing to say it was busy there.
The marsh lands behind the tree line past the parking lot are beautiful to behold and filled with ducks and other birds.
Be sure to stop here and get some pictures or just take a deep breath and take in the scenery.
I didn’t see a bathroom from where I explored and it’s a very small park.

Hmm. To call this place a park is misleading. It’s a tiny pull-off (dirt parking lot) off of Rt. 105. And it’s located off a busy bend of the road. A VERY short walk is available there, but I wouldn’t classify anything there as ‘trails’.

Scenic and beautiful. Lake in the front and the marsh behind gives a different beauty to the place. Good place to watch different types of birds also.
