If you’re searching for a peaceful and scenic dog park in Lakeview, Michigan, Lakeside Park is an excellent family and pet-friendly choice located right on the shores of Tamarack Lake. With its shady playground, covered picnic areas, and wheelchair accessible amenities, it’s a great spot for both two- and four-legged visitors. The park is known for its tidy, well-maintained grounds, lake views, and clean restrooms, making it ideal for outings with your dog or for hosting children’s gatherings and picnics.
Dogs are welcome throughout the park, and there’s ample green space for walking and relaxing. While not a dedicated, fenced dog park, pet owners can enjoy strolls along the lake, fish from the dock, or lounge under tree-shaded benches. The park also features pavilions, a playground for kids, public restrooms, and plenty of seating—great for a leisurely day with family, friends, and pets. Whether you want a stroll by the water or a spot to rest while your dog enjoys the outdoors, Lakeside Park is a dog-friendly highlight in Lakeview.

Cool park nice place to fish
Very clean and peaceful place. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean.
Perfect little stop for the family! The play area was nice and shady and my grandchildren loved seeing little fish and a turtle from the dock. Lots of friendly people there as well. Just wish they had the toddler safety swings for the little ones.
Nice, little park right on Tamarack Lake at Lakeview. In the park, there are two smaller pavilions (big enough to hold three medium size tables), five more smaller benches out on the grass with umbrellas, a small playground area, a very small outdoor theater and restrooms. There’s also a “blessing box” at the entrance, with a few books in it although I’m not sure if the intention was for the box to serve for book exchange. A short dock extends from the park out into the lake. You can see the fish swim right under it. Last but not least, the views from the park are fantastic.
