🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Letson Park, located at 8001 W Coleman Rd in Lake, Michigan, is a unique destination that might appear on maps as a township or industrial park, but it is a spot where dogs are allowed and accessible amenities are available. While some visitors may expect traditional park features, this location is known more for being open space rather than a developed recreational area. What sets Letson Park apart for dog owners is its openness and pet-friendly policy, making it a simple and accessible place to take your leashed dog for a stroll in Isabella County.
Key features of Letson Park include wheelchair accessible parking and entrance, making it convenient for all guests, and the availability of public restrooms. Though not equipped with classic park amenities such as play equipment or fenced dog areas, it remains a peaceful spot for dog-friendly outings in the Lake area. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, as there are limited facilities typically found in traditional dog parks.
Great stuff.
Nice
Very nice
It’s a township Hall and the picture is my neighbors hay field
The S.A. Letson Park, which is at the same site as the Coldwater Township Hall, is not a park as I thought it was! Having done some research and talking with the Township Supervisor, this is not a park like with picnic tables and swings for the kiddies. This is an INDUSTRIAL park! Now, as you can see, there is no industry there at all. This is a desolate 4-corners out in the middle of Isabella county. Turns out the Letson family donated the parcel the township hall sits on, and it was then commissioned to be designated an industrial park, which has led to widespread confusion. Why not change the sign to simply say ‘Letson Industrial Park’ ? That would be the real solution! So don’t bring your picnic basket or the rug rats here to play. Nothing of interest here folks!
