Would recommend! Boarded my dogs here in a pinch and they quickly responded, were friendly, helpful and professional. Neil was great and made me feel comfortable leaving my dogs there. Clean, accommodating, and fairly priced. My dogs seemed to have enjoyed their stay too
The kennel advertised it closes at 4p.m., I called to get my dog, told the owner I would be there at 3p.m., was told the help was leaving at 2:30 and the best he could do was a 7:30 p.m. pick up, when I got there I was charged 25 dollars for the 7:30 pick up along with other added costs, over 300 dollars for 2 days
This was a rip off. I was charged way more than quoted. They give you a time to drop off and then charge for ‘early drop off.’ Same for pickup. 400 something bucks for two nights! I have never had a similar experience with a kennel. Will definitely not be back. I should have read the reviews more carefully because many people complain of ridiculous charges.
I had to cancel the service because of an medical issue, so I cannot speak about the animal care. My complaint is that I’m out 85.68 because I cancelled. Come on…..even hotels let you cancel up to the day before your stay. After reading the reviews I see that most of the complaints about this kennel are the surprise charges and the non-fundable deposits. They charged me TWO days. Even a hotel only charges you one day if you cancel past the deadline. You need to treat your customers better. Hamlin Kennel is on my blacklist.
Definitely a hidden gem. Had a last minute emergency. I called to have my dog boarded and all places booked because it was a summer weekend. I spoke with the owner Don from Hamlin Kennel who took my dog. Sometimes emergencies erupt and Hamlin Kennel definitely stepped up making my emergency a lot easier on one end! When I picked my dog up an employee I spoke with was very professional and gave me great detail on my dog while she kenneled. It definitely seemed my dog, Sandy, was very happy while she was there. Thank you again Don and the Hamlin Kennel team!!😊
