Discover Rose Lake Wildlife Area, a pet-friendly destination in Laingsburg, Michigan, perfect for dog owners seeking wide open spaces and scenic hiking opportunities. This expansive park offers access to beautiful trails suitable for both hikers and their four-legged friends, making it an excellent choice for anyone searching for dog-friendly hiking in the greater Lansing area.
While the park is not a traditional fenced dog park, visitors appreciate the natural beauty, lake vistas, and the variety of outdoor amenities, including hiking and biking trails, sports courts, picnic/grilling areas, a boat launch, and more. Please be mindful that there is an audible gun range nearby, which might startle dogs unaccustomed to loud noises. The area is not heavily signed, so it’s recommended to use a trail map app. The dirt parking lot is simple and can have some potholes, so drive cautiously and plan accordingly.

Also, there is a very audible gun range nearby, so keep that in mind if you’re bringing dogs who might find rapid and loud gunshots frightening. A beautiful trail though.
