Sad. Playgrounds still the same over the years not much for the local living just the ordinary typical park oh but they put a dog park how convenient but no news swings no new playground set
This is the only county dog park on the west side. The location is good but there are no parking spots near this part of the park, and if you park on the grass near the dog park area you can be ticketed! There is only one parking spot and it is for handicapped parking only. Not a great design by the county. Other than that it is a great place to take your dog to socialize with others.

I moved to West Maui from the mainland in August with my dog where we had access to dog parks for her to be off leash. There only seemed to be 2 on the island and because they are about 45 min away we would take the drive each week so she could play and make some friends. I could not understand why we did not have such a place in West Maui And after calling multiple county offices even to the mayor I discovered that a new park was just built within the Lahaina Recreation Center. This was such good news since it is close to where we live we go every day. So if you’re in West Maui I highly recommend you come down and check the park out there is a section for big dogs and another section for small dogs. Aloha!
