Located near the heart of Lafayette, Louisiana, Veteran’s Park at Pontiac Point is a peaceful, pet-friendly park known for its historic charm and tranquil atmosphere. The park features beautiful oak trees, a unique labyrinth inspired by European cathedrals, and is part of Lafayette’s Historic Azalea Trail. Well-suited for families and dog owners alike, this urban oasis welcomes leashed dogs and provides on-street parking, making it a convenient spot for local residents and visitors looking for a quiet, scenic escape with their furry friends.

We need more than a park in Louisiana oh, they do not treat US veterans with respect
Nice quiet place to relax & enjoy the outdoors. Clean & well kept up park area. The only thing I dislike about this park is there is no water fountain to drink fresh water, nor are there any bathrooms available to the general public.
Not sure why you would find yourself in this little park. It will make you feel like the sole owner of a tiny parcel of land. You will most likely be the only person there. All sides are blocked by a moat of tarmac. These smoke belching streets are slowly encroaching closer and closer. It’s so small you may start to feel a little paranoid. As you look down, pondering ,’What have I done to deserve being in this waste of space? You see there is some kind of labyrinth painted onto the ground.
It’s a cheap reproduction of the French labyrinth at Charter Cathedral, in France. About an hour outside Paris. Possibly the greatest example of Medieval architecture in Europe.
“Dedicated”, Christians would hobble, on their knees, all the way from Paris to be in it’s presence. By the time they got to the labyrinth inside the church the stones that make up the floor would be covered in the blood of the masses. I’m sure it was a sight. Meh!!
…someone go get Queen PooYi. She’ll know how to clean this bloody nightmare up… Sha……
Oh yes… This park should be visited. While there you can ponder the reasons for it. It’s good to wonder about stuff.
This beautiful historic park is being revitalized by local advocates partnered in preservation and beautification. Our Pontiac Point Park is on Lafayette’s Historic Azalea Trail, has a beautiful labyrinth, park benches and tables located near Sterling Grove Historic and Downtown Districts.
