Discover the dog park at Starbuck / Lyons Ferry Marina KOA Holiday, a scenic destination near LaCrosse, Washington, renowned for its picturesque Palouse landscapes and pet-friendly atmosphere. This campground and park provide a dedicated area where dogs can play off-leash, with separate enclosures for small and large dogs, making it safer and more comfortable for pups of all sizes. With spacious running areas—mainly dirt, sand, and some grass—the park is ideal for high-energy dogs who love to romp and fetch.
Beyond the dog park, the property features amenities like picnic areas, hiking opportunities, children’s playgrounds, and marina access. There are water facilities and poop stations provided for canine guests, benches for owners, and plenty of shade from surrounding trees. The park is part of a greater recreational complex, complete with athletic fields and easy access parking, though larger vehicles may need to use an overflow lot. Enjoy the tranquil setting, friendly community, and beautiful river views that make this dog park a hidden gem for locals and visitors alike.
Goat heads everywhere! Had them in our shoes which got tracked to our campers! Got them in our bike tires! Bathrooms / showers were disgusting. Looked like there was feces on shower door. Lady in office knew nothing about the fishing regs and misinformed us. Restaurant closed cause it was after Labor Day. With all the employees running around there you would think they could keep it up better. Rock climbing wall at the playground had a screw missing causing my grandson to fall.
We went down for a family camping trip this last weekend, our first night we stayed in a tent on the waterfront piece by the office. Besides the bats flying into my line while trying to catfish it was a decent evening. The second night we decided to rent a cabin. Very nice spot! My only big complaint here is A. The bridge of GINORMOUS SPIDERS down to the dock. Was insane. I’ve never seen so many spiders in one spot. And B. The office closes at 3 on Sundays and is closed Mondays and tuesdays. Also a side note, they said the people who had the rental cabin cancelled so I purchased it. Later that evening a lady came up to my door and said they were supposed to be renting the cabin. Not sure what happened there but yeah.
This place isn’t great, but if you’re going out to boat all day it location is convenient. All bathrooms and showers here are gross, and there were so many bugs. The laundry room was nice. The lady who checked us in clearly did not like her job. And the hours for the restaurant and shop were wired, restaurant closes at 2 pm store closes at 5. It also smelt like dead fish the whole time and you have to climb up super stepp stairs/hills to get places.
The surrounding landscape is beautiful. We enjoyed the view. It would appear the marina is the priority, not being a KOA standard campground. Showers were not clean and had not been in some time. We checked them out the day before planning to use them. Waited until noon as the sign said closed for cleaning 10a-12p. Same items in showers that were left in there the day before. Floor needs cleaning as do walls. I’ve showered in worse, but for a KOA who pride themselves on a certain level of cleanliness, it was disappointing. There is no dump on site. Also a disappointment that we now have to drive with yucky tanks. Staff was nice what interaction we had with them.
We drove in and it felt other worldly-the topography of the Palouse is something else! It felt a little creepy-like we were plopped in the middle of nowhere. However-what a lovely little campground/marina.
The staff were so friendly and the view was beautiful. The sites are a little tight, but we just needed for an overnight.
