Gateway Park is a charming neighborhood spot in Lacey, WA, known for its welcoming atmosphere and beautiful views. While its primary focus is family play, with kid-friendly structures and open spaces, this park offers a peaceful retreat for nearby dog owners seeking a relaxing environment to walk their pups or enjoy some downtime together. The park is maintained well and features a clean, open layout, making it ideal for walking leashed dogs or enjoying a pet-friendly outing.
A unique feature of Gateway Park is its hill, which provides both play areas for children and open space that can be enjoyed by dog owners for casual strolls or playing fetch — all while taking in attractive local scenery. Though it is a smaller park, the consistent cleanliness and upkeep give dog walkers and families alike confidence when visiting. Please note, however, that the playground equipment, while popular, has received safety concerns from visitors, so extra caution is advised if you’re visiting with children.
Small neighborhood Park but fun structures for kiddos and it’s maintained well. No restroom, so plan accordingly.
My grandkids love this park and the toys to play on
The playground seems very poorly built and falling apart. I believe it is only a matter of time before something completely breaks and seriously injures a child. It looks like a beautiful playground but I believe it is far from safe. Please use extreme caution with your little ones.
Nice newer park with great views!
It is a super nice park. The children have games. It is always clean and also has a hill where there is space to play basketball.
