Brooks Park is a quaint, tucked-away dog park in the heart of Lacey, WA, offering a peaceful retreat for dogs and their owners. With a lush open field shaded by mature hardwood trees, it’s perfect for pet-friendly outings, relaxed playtime, and socializing in a quiet neighborhood atmosphere. The park’s green grass and clean environment make it an ideal spot for fetch or leisurely walks, standing out among dog parks in Lacey for its privacy and natural scenery.
While Brooks Park doesn’t offer all the amenities of larger dog parks—such as designated small or large dog areas, agility equipment, benches, or water fountains—it’s particularly suited for well-behaved, social dogs who enjoy off-leash activities in a semi-private setting. Parking is available for about seven cars, and the park maintains a friendly, local community vibe. Shade from the trees is plentiful, but owners should note the lack of seating and waste stations, and plan accordingly for their visit.
I love this park. It’s all fenced in,, not to mention the grass is VERY GREEN, and it’s a very private park. I brought my dog there to play fetch and had a blast. Not a busy park. Only downfall was there was this white van that was obviously someone’s home, and it definitely wasn’t eye candy, but that’s not the parks fault. Oha, and there is parking for about 7 cars roughly. I can’t remember. I can’t remember if there is any tables there. It’s pretty much just an open field the size of a football field with fencing on both sides and the far end I will absolutely be coming back here.
This is a small, private, tucked away little gem of a park. It is clean & well kept..& is a park that you can let your “well behaved, other dog friendly” dogs run around without a leash. The only downside I guess, is the park is connected to people’s back yards to their homes.. but all of the people I have met have been super nice & friendly.
Very nice Quite park to relax at and maybe have a little picnic or go for a walk. You can bring your dog here but they need to be leashed. The dogs in the back yards along the park sometimes they can be a little aggressive as long as they are fenced it’s ok just keep yours on a leashed as this is not a unleashed dog park.
It’s a nice little park tucked away behind several houses in a residential neighborhood, but it’s not quite what I look for in a dog park. There are no poop bags, no gates, and although completely surrounded by backyards, it’s not completely or even partially fenced in. This is a mid sized grassy field, bare except for a few trees, where a single well trained and appropriately bred dog could have some fun chasing a ball or something. Definitely not for all dogs and their owners, but a good option for some.
Beautiful park. It is small but has some nice hardwood trees so there is plenty of shade. 4/5 stars only because there are no benches or places to sit. Other than that, it is a very nice location.
