the playgrounds and the workout spots were a good addition to the park also loved the path around the park. I used to play here all the time im going to start going back to this park for those things.
Awesome park. Multiple play areas for the kids, a walking path, bathrooms, and more. Check it out. The kids can play on the playground the adults can get on the trail that surrounds the whole trail (still watch your kids – come on now).
Update: if you have a few screws loose, like me, this park is really relaxing. I’m sure when there’s events going on – it’s crowded and what not. My six year old found energy and decided to ride his scooter while I walked the trail. The trail is a ‘story-trail’ (there is workout stations, stories to read and different activities at different parts of the trail). Okay, I’m done.
During a tournament, the bathrooms were available and the snack shop. Not ALOT of shade so bring an umbrella. Various playgrounds. Lots of field space. Many teams had tents displayed. Would visit again.

Plenty of free parking in several areas. Clean bathrooms with running water to wash hands. Water fountain. Fantastic climbing and exercise parks scattered around the area with benches at each one. Walking paths and workout equipment along the routes. Pavilion with picnic tables, covered for rain/sun break. Clean and well-maintained everything. Trash and recycling receptacles everywhere. Sports fields. There have not been many children in the area the few times we have gone, but local groups meet up here including a walking club and the library.
From Anthony (age 11): The other kids and I really love this park. We came for the CCPL Homeschool Recess. It even has a trail, which is very long; great park. I recommend this for walking though. The playground is a little small, so I guess it is more for little children. But the cool thing is that there are some little mini parks along the trail. So great park, recommended highly, check it out some time.
