🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions

Las Lomas Park in La Habra, California, is a well-loved local spot with plenty of space for dog owners to explore with their furry friends. Known for its clean environment, sizable green areas, and a unique layout featuring a picturesque waterway and wooden bridges, this park is a hidden gem for those seeking pet-friendly trails and on-leash dog walks. Visitors appreciate the paved walking paths, scenic bridges, and the peaceful vibe that makes it ideal for a leisurely stroll or a light workout with your pet.
The park offers several amenities for both pets and owners; you’ll find bathrooms, water fountains, ample parking, picnic tables, and benches spread throughout. Fitness enthusiasts can take advantage of well-maintained outdoor exercise equipment. While shade is limited, there are beautiful natural features, rolling hills, and plenty of squirrels for your dog to spot along the walk. Although the park does not feature a designated dog park area or off-leash section, it’s a wonderful option for local dog owners seeking a scenic and dog-friendly experience close to home.
It’s perfect for families. It’s small but they have slides and a little gym
This is a very nice park There are bathrooms and a few picnic tables period this park stretches all the way to the back where there’s plenty of space for dogs to run around period There’s also exercise equipment Which was cool period. Not much shade. The only turn off is that there are sometimes transients hanging out on the benches and when I went there there were a few guys hanging out playing cards and smoking weed. That was super disappointing 😞
My sister and I decided to go to this park together to get some steps in as the sun was setting. Being that it’s so hot in the Southern California area, it’s nice to have a nice little place to walk around in the summer evenings, burn off some calories, and not deal with loud traffic and busy streets. The big highlight of this park is that it has workout equipment stations at the beginning which allows you to essentially go to the gym without paying for a gym membership. I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who lives in the area locally and wants to work out for free.
Small, workout equipment is in good condition, decent track to work out. Small playground. Bathrooms were not kept up. Grass needs cutting. Better maintenance required.
beautiful park the water is super clean.
