I went yesterday and my first thought is its nice. I used to hang out there when it was just a small skate park, so it looks a lot different but better now.
If your kids are not fans of loud noises then I would just keep in mind that its right by train tracks. Yesterday as soon as I got there and I put my 18 month old down a train came through and blew the horn and she got really scared and wouldn’t let me put her down the whole time the train was passing (which was one of the long trains).
It being next to a train track is pretty cool, but can be loud and depending on the circumstances, scary having little ones so close to tracks. Of course always keep an eye on your kid(s). There are multiple trash cans and water fountains for different heights and I think I saw a water fountain/spout for a dog as well. I like that it’s right across from the police station. Cops are always pulling in and out there so it adds another level of feeling safe.

We visit The Springs Park in La Grange all the time — it’s one of our favorite spots to take the kids! The splash pad is always a huge hit, especially in the summer. It’s clean, well-maintained, and perfect for cooling off and having fun.

My kids also love the big train-themed playground — it’s one of the most unique and exciting play areas around. Plus, there’s a skate park for older kids and teens, and plenty of room to run, play, and explore.

The park has a large shelter house, making it great for family get-togethers or birthday parties. And since it’s located right in downtown La Grange, there are tons of nearby shops and restaurants to check out before or after your visit.

It’s a great place for families, and we’re always happy to come back!

We recently made a pit stop at La Grange Springs Park to give the kids a break from our long drive, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The park features a splash pad, which was an absolute hit with the little ones. They had a blast running through the water and cooling off, which helped burn off a lot of their energy. The park itself is clean, well-maintained, and offers a good mix of open spaces and shaded areas, making it a comfortable spot to relax for a bit.

The splash pad is well-designed, with plenty of features to keep kids entertained for a while. Watching them have so much fun made the brief stop worthwhile. After some time at the splash pad, the kids were noticeably calmer and happier, making the remainder of our trip much quieter and more enjoyable.

Overall, La Grange Springs Park served as the perfect break point for our journey. It’s a great spot for families looking to let their kids stretch their legs and have some fun. Highly recommend it for anyone traveling with young children.

A beautiful Saturday all day experience with several churches leading praise sets. Wonderful park with a huge covered pavilion! Really nice place for any type of gathering.
