Love the park. Looking forward to it’s opening back up… If there is ever a “trash pickup day!” Let us know….
It’s a bit of a hike to the water. But we’ll worth it. Not many people. The water is so clean. Wear good walking shoes, lots of rocks, uneven ground and sticker bushes. It is a beautiful place to hang by the river.
Thankfully there is still an old-school place on the river to chill. There is a bit of a walk to get to the water. Coolers and bulky items will be a chore to get to the water. There are no facilities here. Dogs love it. Rockhound wife loves it. We took our little ones when they were little. Team work with them on the trails is a must. It is called Danger Park after all. There are spots with heavy bugs. Water is perfect mid to late summer. We always Bring an extra trash bag because ppl suck. Pack it in, pack it out. Don’t be the reason this place gets closed. Been a fan since my 1st summer here in ’88. Thank you.
Wear bug spray & good shoes. Be prepared to take your garbage in & out with you. enjoy.
