Cherry Canyon Park

Cherry Canyon Park is a scenic canyon area west of Pasadena offering a variety of hiking trails suitable for dogs, kids, and families. The trails provide beautiful views of the Los Angeles basin and surrounding mountain ranges, with shaded paths and wildlife sightings including deer, coyotes, and owls. It is a great spot for morning hikes and dog walking, though parking is limited and there are no water fountains available on the trails.

Omg so much walking. Just for a bench. Blargh. There was no water anywhere. I was so very “ugh” mode by the time I got to the watchtower. And then phone died. lol
Very beautiful enter to the net of trails 🥾
Many amazing sunrise points. Wildlife as deers, coyotes, owls. I love this trail and recommend it for morning hikes, bike rides or dog walking.
Parking is very limited.
Great walk in a lovely canyon with grandkids dogs or lovers. Great scenic vistas. Trees shaded trails and mountain passes. Minutes from Pasadena, Descanso gardens and a beautiful neighborhood.
Great hike with so many other options for going around the main hikes or going off the beaten path to explore a little more. My wife is six months pregnant and loves this hike.
Nice canyon area west of Pasadena. Trails not crowded but exposed. Take plenty of water and sunblock. Not a lot of climbing but great view of the los Angeles basin, Pasadena, and the mountain ranges around it. Hot in the summer, so start early and avoid the afternoon heat.
