Located off E Stagecoach Way in Kuna, Idaho, Kuna Dog Park offers a welcoming space for dogs and their owners to enjoy some outdoor fun. The park is known for its large grassy areas with minimal dirt spots and features separate fenced areas for big and small dogs, though small dogs often join the larger group. One unique highlight is the adjacent pond, which is a favorite for dogs who enjoy a swim, making this spot great for dog-friendly outings that include water play.
The park is equipped with basic amenities like poop bags, a shaded picnic area, and mini fenced runs for off-leash ball throwing. However, visitors should bring their own water and bowls, as there is no running water on site. Shade is available at the picnic area, and pet owners often recommend bringing extra chairs for comfort by the pond. While the park has many beloved features, it could benefit from a bit more maintenance, so be mindful of potential muddy areas or uneven fencing. Overall, it’s a popular community spot for dog lovers seeking pet-friendly activities in Kuna, Idaho.
First time visiting this dog park in Kuna , Idaho.
Very nice dog park. Lots of grass for the dogs and very few dirt spots. 2 fenced in areas. 1 for big dogs and a smaller area for small. No one ever used the small area , most of the small dogs wanted to be big dogs. After about 2 weeks using the dog park we only had 1 incident of an aggressive dog. Our dog was bitten by a very aggressive dog so we left the park. Went back about 2 days later and guess who drove up and entered the park. We couldn’t believe this dog’s owner would come back after telling us that this dog was a fighter due to past torture and abuse. We left immediately and took them to the pond area outside of the dog park. A definite cooling off area
The best parts of this dog park are the pond next to it. Although I had hoped the city would enclose it for the dogs. Been here a couple times never any other dogs, and the park seems low budget last minute planning. If the sprinklers come on then you’re trapped.
Wish they had a faucet to fill the bowls people have donated, otherwise it was great
Grounds need some serious maintenance (pokey weeds all over the dog’s grass, mud and pee puddles, parts of fence bent at bottom for easy dog escape) but considering it’s in a small town, it’s pretty good. Wish there was running water to fill dog bowls there. You have to remember to bring your own water jugs and possibly a bowl too. Also the dogs enjoy visiting the little pond right next to the fenced area.
This park is excellent for pond swimming. There is picnic area with shade as well. I would recommend bringing your own lawn chairs if you have a child at the beach to sit closer to the shore. There is mini fenced in area dog runs for throwing ball off leash. There are poop bags provided but BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU STEP. LAND MINES EVERYWHERE!
