Amazing experience on this Ferry as always. This time we had the opportunity to get in the bridge and meet the captain. He gave us an overall view if what he does and about the boat and it was great.
Walked on to just ride today. Always a smooth ride with friendly attendants.
We had a great ride on the Ferry from Knotts Island to Currituck. This is a free ferry. It was a little under an hour ride and the weather was perfect. Lots of pretty landscape to watch as we crossed. We loved it. We also liked the little country store just before then ferry. They make great sandwiches. We purchased a lunch to eat on t he crossing. Can’t wait for your next on the ferry.
The crew is very friendly and accommodating. Easy and relaxing ride from Knotts Island to Currituck. Only about a 30 min ride.
It was very easy to drive the car onto the ferry and make our way over to Knox Island. The people on Knott’s Island are very private. They will know if you are not a local and they will stop you and ask what you’re doing and if you need help with directions lol. We only went there to give the kids the experience of taking the ferry with the car as well as to see Mackey Island reserve. Which was beautiful. Worth it. Ferryy is free as it was purchased to bring students back and forth to school on the island to the mainland. You can stay in your car or sit inside in an air conditioned room. There are some vending machines with snacks and drinks.
