Located in the scenic mountain town of Kittredge, Colorado, Kittredge Community Park is a welcoming spot for families, kids, and dog owners alike. This pet-friendly community park provides a relaxing environment with beautiful views, shaded trees, and a pleasant creek — perfect for casual strolls or letting your furry friend enjoy the outdoors. The park is wheelchair accessible, features a playground with slides and swings for kids, and plenty of open space for both dogs and humans to enjoy.
Dog owners will appreciate the park’s dog-friendly atmosphere, where leashed dogs are welcome to explore the open play areas and nearby creek. With picnic tables, shaded benches, lots of parking along the main road, and public restrooms (porta-potties), it’s an ideal destination for a family picnic or a day out with your pet. Although water access is limited and there is no designated fenced dog area, the natural surroundings and sense of community make Kittredge Community Park a favorite among locals seeking dog-friendly parks and pet-friendly hiking near Evergreen and Kittredge.
We love this place we have been going here since 2013, and our kids who are now teens, still love it!
Great play structures for big kids and little ones. A beautiful stream and trees to explore. Swings, merry-go-round, and a bit of open field. Porta-potties available for bathroom needs. Watch the little ones near the highway. Mine tried to climb the stairs and run straight out there.
Cute little park in a small mountain town that had neat wildlife up close and a small river stream running aside it. Kind of silly that the city had the property lines messed up.
Great little park. Lots of parking along main road if lot is full. Not much water access at all. It’s Daytona Beach busy almost always because there is a 10 yard stretch of water. Great for the dog and kids though ND that’s all that matters.
Great park for a picnic with kids! It has it all, open play space, an excellent playground/jungle gym, plenty of shaded benches, a few picnic tables, porta-potties, and a small beach with access to the creek. 10/10.
