What a cool historical site!!! Never knew the details of the Revolutionary War! Worth the stop!
Fantastic park one of my favorite places to walk around and just take in the history. If you are going for the first time the park is massive and I would recommend driving through once to see where all of the parking areas are. You can stop at all of them and get out and walk around to explore all the areas the park has to offer. For a more intense hike you can park by the bridge and hike up mount misery.
A short walk from visitor center, or a very short walk from Mhlenberg Brigade if you drive. There is a good view from here, you can imagine how the continental army soldiers were looking out for the British soldiers approaching back then….
Beautiful park with the best views in all of Norristown/ Valley Forge. Recommend driving down all the roads they have and exploring all the scenic places for sunsets. Driving down those roads will lead you to different trails too and different historic sites. They have cool statues and a massive arch and more.
I love nature and this park is all that. Plus it has some history on it. You can swim, hike, bike ride, run, fish and it has picnic area as well. And bathroom in certain areas. I enjoyed it. Great for the whole family.
