Went here to hike to the stone dam, about 2 miles. Simply beautiful. Be sure to take water- no services there, simply nature’s beauty.
Fun hike to stone dam. Was a bit muddy in spots after recent rain but overall an easy path. Sign suggests dam stream could contain a water parasite but others were swimming and there was a rope swing.After, we followed the path to mini golf only to find it was fenced off and posted at the back of the park. Luckily there was a break to slip through or the 20 min hike there would have been a frustrating waste. It’s not posted as closed on the many sign posts that show the way to mini golf.
Great place to take your dogs. Only downer was the creepy guy parked in his black van. Several times I visited the park he was there. I have a pic of the van after he almost ran us off the road at anini.
Great access point for the stone dam trail. Not super well marked for the trailhead but easy to figure out. Once you got past the lot there are yellow signs pointing the rest of the way. Trail runs through a beautiful mahogany tree farm to the stone dam area which rests on a former sugar cane plantation
Take my dog here all the time, I love it, the dogs love it. No public restrooms, no human water fountains. Pack water for humans and wear mud boots. Dont forget the towel for the dogs.
