Double Pipe Creek Park in Keymar, Maryland, is a community-focused recreation space known for its peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere. While not exclusively a dog park, it includes a dedicated off-leash dog area where your canine companions can socialize and exercise. This dog park in Keymar is praised for its large, fully fenced space with plenty of shade, grassy areas, and benches for owners to relax while their dogs play. The tranquil environment and ample field space make it a great option for those seeking a pet-friendly park near Frederick County.
The wider park features a children’s playground, a pavilion with shaded seating, picnic tables, and access to the creek for water activities like fishing and kayaking. While there are porta-potties on-site, there are no permanent restroom facilities. Reviews highlight the park’s serene natural setting and friendly community vibe, but also note occasional maintenance issues, especially regarding grass cutting and cleanliness after rain. If you’re seeking a relaxed, uncrowded dog-friendly park in the Keymar area, Double Pipe Creek Park is an excellent choice for both everyday play and special events.
Great place to get away and relax. Quiet and serene. I was here for the Duck Derby and it was a great family event. Plenty of local vendors and some good food trucks too.

No restrooms. Nice drop in for kayak. Not maintained so a bit overgrown. August 14.22 and the creek was very low. We were going for a short paddle to 77. 1 down tree that blocked the whole creek, lots of walking/dragging. Only a few short areas to paddle and relax before having to get out again. I’m pretty sure if we’d have some rain this would be a nice, short trip on the creek.
