We stopped by before a football game. It’s a nice playground especially for climbers. Parking is easy, covered areas nearby, and close bathrooms. Bathrooms have flushing toilets and running water, but are kind of smelly and gross.

Highland games!!!! This weekend after Labor Day. If you love your heritage and your country! You must see the best Celtic festival in Kelso at Tam Ò Shanter Park on September weekend after Labor Day. Parages, bagpipes, great food! Scottish food from islander!!!!!! We love Scottish eggs, Banger’s and mash, haggis, and cottage pies. Athletes are skilled and trained like any Olympian would be. Real men wear kilts!!! Women have kilts as well! What a grand celebration of Celtic heritage whether you’re Scottish or Irish! This is the place to be!! All our welcome of all ages. There are a few festivities for all ages. Many vendors around the area. Jalapeno honey local bees. There is Granny Fi’s best Scottish shortbread that comes all the way to Kelso, WA, from Aurora, OR!!! Must try shortbread there’s, pecan and chocolate, lavender, lemon, rosemary, espresso, cheese and onion, many more flavors, plus fruit in sponge cake it’s divine, and salted caramel with freshly made caramel in shortbread etc. Give it a taste, you’ll be glad you did!!! There are ladies who dance in competitions! There are even ladies in kilts who are strong as warriors throwing around Sheaf toss over the bar and weight throw. There’s a stone put, weight over the bar, Sheaf toss, and Scottish hammer throw!!!! You are welcome to try for an amateur for games. Some of these local legends are masters at the events. I kid you not, in the mist of highland games with locals vs legends. There is a master whose legend is as a world champion!! May you find the world champion among the athletes!! Show your love and support for these courageous athletes with sheer strength and determination to beat their own personal best records!! Real men wear kilts!!

This is a beautiful park! Plenty of playground for little ones and the softball/baseball fields are very nice! The park is well kept and has ample parking including handicap. I look forward to any time my kid has a game here because it’s such a nice location.
